Shanghai Calling

Official Website: http://shanghaicalling.com/

SHANGHAI CALLING is a charming comedy about an Asian American’s adventure in contemporary Shanghai! It features heartthrob Daniel Henney as a Chinese-American lawyer who is sent to China to open up a satellite office. Unfortunately, he does not speak Chinese; fortunately, his “relocation specialist”, an “all-American girl” from the midwest, does. How she and others help him get his bearings in the unfamiliar but spectacular city is the journey you will take with this movie.

Feel free to check out the trailer:

Festival audiences around the world have been wowed by the film. They say it is extremely refreshing — for its vibrant locations, cross-cultural humor, and nuanced insights into China’s changing role in today’s world. We have won oodles of awards.

VARIETY gave us a rave review, and says SHANGHAI CALLING is “irresistibly chic”, with “beguiling humor.” Please see if you agree.
